JAMMU, Dec 7: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Deepak Wasan, Executive Director, NIELIT J&K and Dr Manoj Singh Gaur, Director, IIT Jammu in presence of Anita Sharma, Additional Director (System) / Scientist ‘E’, NIELIT J&K and Dr Vinit Jakhetiya, Asstt. Professor, CSE, IIT Jammu.
The objectives of the MoU are exchange of intellectual know how, resources and to impart trainings on Industrial/Semester Training of 5 – 6 months duration or Summer/Short Term Training of 4 – 8 weeks duration programmes, “Finishing School” programme of 5 months duration in the field of Electronics and Information Technology, any other Training Programme envisaged at a later stage that can benefit the general public of this region, at large.
Further, the agreement NIELIT J&K aims to undertake the courses in the field of IT and Electronics under Joint Certification with IIT Jammu and subsequently enhance this basket of courses as per the needs of Industry and changing times. The target group will be undergoing engineering graduates, undergoing graduation students sponsored by Higher Education Deptt from Degree colleges of J&K and students from other technical institutions.
