Kishtwar, Dec 7: DDC Chairperson Kishtwar Pooja Thakur along with DDC members,BDC’s, Sarpanches and members of district Kishtwar staged a protest against the district administration of Kishtwar related to various issues.
“The administration is not giving any ear to the issues raised by elected members of Panchayati Raj Institution and are threatening and harrassing the PRIs. Issue came into light when ACD Kishtwar threatened a lady Sarpanch of Panchayat Pakkalan of Block Thakrai when she rose an issue of payments of watershed in her Panchayat which were physically not some on ground but payment was drawn by the ACD,” a handout.
Also DFO Marwah misbehaved with one of the DDC member of Palmar block and he is not paying heed to any of the issues of general public raised to him. His non serious approach towards the works of general public is creating mess among the public, the handout said.
Such kind of non serious approach of officers is highly condemnable said the DDC chairperson.
Various other issues which were raised during the protest include compensation under the RR plans are pending since long, same should be released on priority. Few months before also a protest was held by the chairperson regarding this but still no progress is shown. Issue of recruitment of landlooser/affected families is still not resolved and companies are recruiting staff from outisde.
