JAMMU, Oct 7: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Jammu Rajesh Kumar today finalized the arrangements for National Police Day popularly known as Police Commemoration Day Parade, which will be observed on October 21 across the country.
The arrangements were finalized during a meeting, which was chaired by IGP and attended by senior Police officers at Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu today.
The main function will be held at Gulshan Ground and rich tributes will be paid by all the senior officers at Police Martyrs Memorial, Rail Head.
A blood donation camp will also be inaugurated after the Commemoration Day Parade.
IGP while speaking stressed on the officers to put in their best for ensuring adequate security and law and order arrangements for the day to acknowledge the sacrifices made by the martyrs.
The meeting was attended by DIG Jammu, DIG Armed, SSP Jammu, SSP Crime, SSP PCR, SSP APCR, SP Security, SP Telecom, all territorial SSPs, Incharge Commandant SDRF, DYSP Estates and DySP DAR.
