JAMMU Nov 1: Financial Commissioner Revenue, Dr Pawan Kotwal, who has recently been assigned the charge of Inspector General of Registration J&K, today convened a meeting of Registrars regarding functioning of the department.
The meeting had threadbare discussion on various aspects of the process for registration.
The IG Registration asked the Registrars to make people aware that ADCs, SDMs are now authorized for registrations so that they would not face any difficulty for registration of their documents.
He also asked the concerned to go through the guidelines of the Registration Act and ensure the accuracy of the documents while conducting registrations. He also asked for organizing orientation programs for the concerned officers regarding registration process.
The meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sushma Chauhan, Additional Inspector General of Registration, Jammu, Rakesh Srangal while Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and all Deputy Commissioners along with ADCs of Jammu and Kashmir attended the meeting through video conferencing.
