JAMMU, June 2: Shiromani Sant Kabir Mandir Trust installed the idol of Sant Kabir Dass Ji in the temple at Sant Kabir Nagar, at village Kotli Gala Bana, in RS Pura today.
A colourful procession in the form of ‘Jhanki’, carrying the idol of Sant Kabir Dass Ji, brought from Rajasthan, passed through the main bazaar, RS Pura under the supervision of president of the Trust, Chaman Lal.
The devotees from Ramgarh, Kotli, Suchetgarh, Bishnah, Kalyana and Jammu participated in the function with singing of devotional songs/hymns of Sant Kabir.
Thousands of devotees were welcomed by the main bazaar shopkeepers by serving them water and refreshments.
Prominent persons of the area and some members of Sant Kabir Dass Ji Trust included -Sham Lal Choudhary former Minister, Chairman Bhushan Lal Dogra, Darshan Kumar, Jeet Raj, Balak Ram Master, Fateh Chand (Sarpanch), Chander Gorkha, Romesh Kumar, Garu Ram, Surjeet Singh, Sarpanch Suraj Parkash and Anand Kalia.
