JAMMU, July 21: A delegation of Indian Dental Association (IDA), Jammu branch today met Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh, here in his office.
The delegation which comprised of Dr Bhupinder Singh, president, IDA, Dr Gautam Sharma, general secretary, Dr Vibha Raina, Dr Navjot Singh and Dr Anjali informed the DC about the dental quackery happening in Jammu and adjoining areas.
He was also informed that the threat of communicable diseases like HIV and Hepatitis persists if sterilization of instruments is not proper and quacks are not following the proper and scientific methods of sterilization.
Besides this, they said these quacks do not possess any qualification or degree, so it is illegal to operate upon any person.
Simrandeep Singh assured the IDA team that he will take stern action as this is a very serious health issue and is endangering the life of public.
