JAMMU, July 21: The Chamber and Commerce Industries today said indefinite Jammu bandh will be observed if demand of setting up of AIIMS will not be met by July 30.
“It was unanimously decided that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry which is an important constituent of Coordination Committee shall not believe or have faith in any further commitment weather oral or written by the Dy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh and adopt a course of aggressive agitation for the rights of people of Jammu province”, Rakesh Gupta, president CCI told reporters here this evening.
Gupta said, “In consultation with the office bearers and the representatives of all the bazars, traders, transporters and industrial associations, it has been decided that if the sanction for AIIMS at Jammu from the appropriate authority of Government of India is not received on or before July 30, then we shall be left with no option but to call for an indefinite Jammu Bandh”.
