UDHAMPUR, June 7: ICDS Supervisors of Udhampur district projected their burning demands and issues in a press conference held here today.
The burning issues that were touched in the press conference were stagnation, pay anomalies, separate ICDS cadre recruitments rule (Non-Gazetted) and illegal promotion of TSWO as CDPO and Orderly (Chowkidar) as Junior Assistant and then as CDPO.
“There are 1366 posts of Supervisor in ICDS in J&K and during their service, supervisors of batch 1988, 1991 and 1992 are still working as supervisor due to non favourable Social Welfare Recruitment Rules (subordinate) SRO 335 of 2009 to ICDS sector,” the supervisors said.
They further maintained that in other states and UTs of India, supervisors are working in the grade of 4200 but in J&K (UT), they are working in 2400 grade pay. This anomaly in pay of supervisors must be removed by the J&K Government and the policy of “equal work, equal pay” should be followed.
The supervisors said that there should be creation of separate Women and Child Development Department in J&K at par with other states/UTs of India and also separate recruitments rules (non gazette) of ICDS sector and creation of 120 posts of ACDPO.
Alleging that illegally promotion of TSWOs into CDPOs was done in 2017 with violation of SRO 328 of 2007 and Orderly/Chowkidar/Cook to Junior Assistants and then to CDPOs, they demanded to revert back all the promotions. They also demanded cancellation of finally seniority list of TSWO publish on June 2, stating that the case is sub-judice.
