ICAI to make spl efforts for CA students of J&K

Efforts will be made to include Chartered Accountants students of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh into mainstream.
All India Chartered Accountants National Conference, which concluded here on Sunday, vowed to make special efforts to include CA students of J&K and Ladakh into mainstream.
Organised by the Thane branch of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(ICAI) through its’ western regional authorities, the two-day event was attended by over 500 practicing CAs.
Talking to mediapersons after the conference’s culmination, ICAI Thane Chapter Chairman said, “The CAs were guided and updated on Code of Ethics meant for them to serve the country to avoid scams and keep away CAs from becoming soft targets whenever and where ever any scam is reported.”
All India president CA Prafull Chhajed and Chairperson of Western Region CA Priti Savla along with experts in the field of Taxation, Accounting and Auditing made their presence felt.
President Chhajed updated the participants about the new ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ signed by the ICAI with its’ international peers-England and Wales, and Australia.
The ICAI has chalked out plans for better educational opportunities and facilities to the CA students in J&K and Ladakh to facilitate their inclusion in the mainstream, report added. (UNI)
