RAJOURI, Aug 30: The police has arrested husband and his associate for the murder of his wife at Morha village in Kotranka area of district Rajouri today.
Officials sources said that the deceased identified as Shanaz Akhter (30), wife of Zulifkar Ali of Morha village, in Kotranka Tehsil was intercepted by her husband Zulifkar, a Tata Mobile driver near the village during morning hours and stabbed with a knife after some altercation. He was assisted by his helper/ cleaner, Mohd Aslam (19).
With serious injuries she was removed to Kandi hospital by the relatives wjhere she succumbed to injuries. Taking cognizance of the matter the police after conduct of post mortem and performing legal formalities handed over the dead body to the family and registered a case against husband and his cleaner. The police arrested both the accused persons and started investigation.
