JAMMU, Feb 26: All J&K Housing Board Employees Association has been reconstituted with Sham Singh as president and Rajinder Kr Sharma as general secretary.
Rajesh Kumar has been elected as vice president, Muneer Ahmad as vice president cum Cashier(Kashmir Wing), Abdul Wahid as Organiser, Atul Sharma as secretary/spokesperson, Shanker Dass as organising secretary, Suraj Parkash as press secretary, M K Bhat as publicity secretary, Arun Kumar as joint secretary, Dev Raj Sharma as treasurer/cashier and Fayaz Ahmad as joint secretary (Kashmir Wing). This was informed by Babu Hussain Malik, State president, Employees Joint Action Committee (R) alongwith Sham Singh while addressing a press conference, here today.
President Sham Singh strongly condemned the attitude of the management for referring the vacant posts, against which the employees are already working and stagnating since the last more than two decades, to the Administrative Department for onward submission to the recruiting agencies. He also invited the attentions of the Governor/Advisor Incharge H&UDD & Chief Secretary to intervene in the matter as to why these vacancies were referred to the Adm Department.
General secretary Rajinder Kr Sharma stressed upon the management to immediately redress the genuine demands of the employees.
Others who spoke on the occasion, included Durga Dutt, Moti Ram, Abdul Wahid, Subash Chander, Rajinder Sawhney, S Ravinder Singh, Kasturi Lal, Surinder Sharma, Jagdish Raj, Sanjeev Kumar and Yog Raj Singh. They highlighted the demands, which include ; deferring the referral of vacancies and fill the vacant posts among the staff of JKHB immediately, release the grade in favour of Designated/ I/c Junior Assistants, Supervisors, Draftsman & Khansamas etc, implement the Agenda of Establishment Committee immediately and stop pick & chose policy, amendment in recruitment rules as desired by the Financial Commissioner H&UDD, fill the vacant posts of Class IV, consider the pending cases of SROs-43 immediately, creation of posts of Junior Assistants, Sr Assistants, Head Assistants, Computer Operators, Stenographers, Liaison Officer & Under Secretary, establish New Housing Colonies at Jammu/Kashmir, vacation of land occupied by the Army/Kashmir University in Housing Colony Kadipora Anantnag and reimbursement claim of Rs 212.84 crores to J&K Housing Board.
