UDHAMPUR, Aug 29: A young housewife attempted suicide by consuming poison under mysterious circumstances at the house of her in-laws at village Nili Majalta.
According to the police reports, Sapna Devi (35), wife of Parbinder Singh of Nili Majalta, consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances in her home. Family members shifted her to District Hospital Udhampur in serious condition.
Cause of provocation could not be ascertained while Police has registered the case for further investigation.
Meanwhile, three persons were injured when a Motorcycle, they were riding, skidded off the road near Malhar Udhampur.
The injured were identified as Rahul Sharma (23), son of Om Prkash of Tanori, Abhinadan Sharma (19) son of Ashok Kumar of Shakti Nagar Udhampur and Rohit Sharma (20), son of Rajesh Sharma, residence near Vikas Pales Udhampur.
