JAMMU, Aug 6: Following orders of DC Jammu in view of forthcoming Independence Day and festival season, Nehru Market police arrested an owner of a house for not providing information about his tenants to police.
As per police sources, a police team from Nehru Market police post visited the house of Shatrughan, son of Beli Ram, a resident of House number 51, Bikram Chowk and found that four tenants are living in the house whose identity were not reported to police by the owner.
DC Jammu in an order issued has asked the people to inform the police station concerned about the tenants living in their houses, which Shatrugan failed and was arrested by Nehru Market police.
A case under FIR number 163/14 under Section 144 RPC has been registered in this regard with Nehru Market Police Post and investigation started.
Police team headed by SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh and SP South Rahul Malik.
