UDHAMPUR, Aug 6: A deputation of District Congress Committee Udhampur under the leadership of senior Congress leader Brij Mohan Sharma called on SSP Udhampur in connection with murderous attack on State Secretary J&K Pardesh Congress Committee R S Pathania who received multiple head injuries under Majalta Police Station.
Congress leaders said that as per law accused must be booked under Section 307 RPC but in this regard a case under Section 323 RPC has been registered at Police Station Majalta. Deputation demanded an inquiry and the suspension of SHO Majalta whose role was suspicious in this case. Deputation also warned that if appropriate and necessary action is not initiated by the Police administration, the DCC may start an agitation for justice.
SSP Udhampur assured deputation that after medical report of the injured, appropriate Sections of the law may be applied while action will be initiated against the concerned officer, if found guilty.
The deputation comprised of Sham Lal Samnotra, Sumit Magotra, Shivam Sharma, Sham Bansal, Shamim Azeem and Tirth Ram.
