JAMMU, Aug 6: Demanding regularization policy for ITI trained PHE workers on ReZ/ReT pattern, J&K PHE ITI Trained and CP Workers Union today continued their protest and kaam chodo hartal for the third consecutive day.
The PHE employees assembled outside Press Club and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
Addressing the gathering, president of the association Tanveer Hussain said that the Government has failed to address their demands, forcing them to hold protest. The association has decided to extend their protest and kaam chodo hartal by 24 hours, he added.
He stated that the trained casual employees of PHE Department have completed all the required formalities but Government is not making any policy for their regularization.
“The matter was taken up with the concerned authorities several times and we were assured that our issues will be sorted out. But it is very unfortunate that till date nothing has been done, which proves the assurances of the concerned authorities as hollow and false”, he added.
He demanded regularization policy for ITI Trained PHE workers as per ReZ/ReT pattern, regularization policy and release of pending salaries of CP and need based workers.
Tanveer Hussain urged the Government to consider their demands at the earliest otherwise the association will launch indefinite strike and for any untoward incident, the Government will be responsible.
Among others present were Subash Chander, Deepak Gupta, Manjeet Singh, Sumit, Dushyant Sudan, Mushtaq Ahmed, Parvez Ahmed, Abdul Lateef, Sajad Ganai, etc.
