JAMMU, Apr 2: Speaker Mubarak Gul today adjourned the Assembly for 19 minutes due to lack of quorum when resolution of Congress MLA and former Minister Mohammad Sharief Niaz on power projects was being debated in the House.
As Mr Niaz was speaking on the House, Mr Gul adjourned the House for 10 minutes at 12.29 pm due to lack of quorum. At that time, there were only 21 members present in the House, two less than the quorum.
The Assembly staff continued to ring the bells to call members in the House.
The Assembly proceedings finally started at 12.48 pm after the quorum was complete.
