Hotel & Restaurant Association holds meet

Hotel and Restaurant Association members chairing a meeting at Katra on Thursday.

KATRA, Mar 21: Hotel & Restaurant Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Sham Lal Kesar and discussed various issues being faced by the hotel industry since the recent past.
During the meeting, the issues which were discussed included acute shortage of water, issues related to Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC ) like hospitals, medicines and other facilities to employees, conversion of already declared commercial land to agricultural land, rising electricity cuts even instead of 100 per cent metering, non renewal of hotel licenses by Tourism Department and non providing of all industrial benefits to the Tourism Industry, cleanliness of the Katra town etc.
While speaking, Sham Lal Kesar said that these types of harassments would not be tolerated and chalked out a detailed line of action to counter these things.
Rakesh Wazir, senior vice president, said that tourism season is going to be started within few days and all the departments should at least provide the basic facilities to the pilgrims for which they are created.
Among others present were Rajinder Kotwal, general secretary, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Virender Kesar, Sham Sharma, Awtar Suri, Vinodh Lambha, Shanker Dogra, Abdul Rashid, Rakesh Sharma, etc.
