JAMMU, Apr 25: The Homoeopathic Medical Association of India, J&K Branch members met the Minister for Health & Medical Education, ARI & Training, Ch Lal Singh here today.
Director General ISM Dr Abdul Kabir Dar was also present on the occasion. The members of Association submitted a memorandum of demands and requested to take immediate and appropriate steps. They pleaded to cancel the nomination of a junior doctor as a state member to represent Homoeopathic stream in the National AYUSH Mission, and demanded for appointment of an hard working, senior, dedicated person for upliftment and encouraging the Homoeopathic system of medicine and requested to give backlog posts & ensure equal share to Homoeopathic doctors in regular & contractual appointment in future.
They disclosed that many qualified Homoeopathic doctors are about to get over aged and if representation to Homoeopathic doctors was not given, unemployed Homoeopaths will find their future in dark. Association also requested to appoint a well experienced and capable person as Registrar to the J&K Board of Homoeopathic system of Medicine.
Association demanded creation of separate administrative wing for Homoeopathy within the Directorate of Indian System to facilitate the Homoeopathic doctors. For the time being a senior Medical officer, technically sound with well versed in knowledge of administration in the field of Homoeopathy system of Medicine be elevated/designated as a Assistant Director/Nodal officer in the office of the Directorate of Indian System of Medicine of Jammu & Kashmir.
Doctors present on the occasion included Dr Satish Attri, Dr Sanjeev, Dr Ajay Singh, Dr Zakir Choudhary, Dr Zaheer, Dr Meenakshi, Dr Neena, Dr Bhawana, Dr Tanvir Malik, Dr Aslam, Dr Irum Malik, Dr S K Sharma and others.
