JAMMU, Feb 6: Seeking probe into all the ERA works, SOS International, an organisation of refugees, has alleged that Technofab Engg Pvt Ltd, the main contacting agency has sub let the work to another contractor and he has again sublet the work to some others who are executing most substandard work of laying water pipes and replacing the old pipes in the city.
In a press stamen chairman of the SOS International Rajiv Chuni said that on one hand ERA has deteriorated condition of roads by digging pits for laying water supply network whereas on the other side IRCON that has been chosen under the project Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (R-APDRP) for replacing existing network of electricity including replacement of naked wires with coated wires, replacement of poles and other allied work is also following the footsteps of contractor by subletting the work to other small contractors.
The subletting and further subletting of works to various contractors has put the Jammu city in nuisance where the people are suffering a lot as no accountability is there in small contractors. He demanded CBI inquiry in bungling in the both the tasks carried out by both departments.
