JAMMU, June 1: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) and traders of the West constituency held a protest rally under the leadership of Sunil Dimple, its president against the ERA, PWD (R&B) and JMC demanding CBI inquiry into the on-going ERA, NBCC Sewerage projects scams in the city.
Addressing the protesters, Dimple alleged that no development is taking place in the West Assembly constituency, where all the developmental works were put at halt.
Dimple gave ultimatum to PWD, ERA up to June 10, for immediate black topping of the roads of the constituency and added that no patch work shall be accepted.
He warned the Chief Engineer PWD R&B and ERA project manager that if the black topping was not done soon the next protest will be held out-side the office of the Chief Engineers PWD R&B and ERA.
Dimple urged the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, to start the construction of flyovers at Rehari Chungi, Jewal Chowk and alternative four way circular road from Amphalla  to Bantalab via High Court, Roop Nagar etc.
He said PHE pipes laying work by the ERA is at going on snail’s pace and all the roads of the constituency have been badly damaged.
