JAMMU, Oct 12: Management of Mahant Bachitter Singh College of Engineering and Technology Jammu has claimed that Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department of the college Prof A K Kaw has resigned at his own and the chairman (Rangil Singh) has not accepted his resignation so far.
Reacting sharply to the reports appearing in the section of press regarding students’ agitation and allegations of harassment to the college teacher, chairman of the College said that there was no question of harassment, intimidation or discrimination against A K Kaw from the management of the Institution. He said the HoD resigned at his own from the engagement in the college on October 4 and the decision on his resignation has not been taken by the management as he being chairman, was outside the country for few days. The management was rather, appreciative of the caliber and commitment of this teacher to the institution and final decision on it was yet pending, the chairman added.
