Inter-Polytechnic Solo Song Competition organized

JAMMU, Oct 12: An Inter-Polytechnic Solo Song Competition was organized by the Institute of Engineering and Computer Sciences (IECS), Purkhoo Camp, Domana in the institution auditorium in which students from a large number of Polytechnics in Government and Private sector in Jammu Province participated.
The participating institutions included Govt Polytechnics Bikram Chowk, Jammu, Govt Polytechnic for women Jammu, Govt Polytechnic Reasi, Udhampur. In addition students from NITS Polytechnic, Miran Sahib, Kalamkari Vocational Polytechnic, Roop Nagar, North Polytechnic, Purkhoo Camp, Besides IECS Polytechnic took part in this Mega Musical Event.
Er Vidhi S Singh, Chairman Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions was the chief guest on the occasion, while Er Renu Bangroo Managing Director and Thakur Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal Vice Chairman of Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions were the guests of honour.
Er KR Sharma Principal, North Polytechnic and Er Ajay Singh Jamwal, Dean Administration were also present on the occasion.

The competition was organized in two categories Film Songs and Non Film Patriotic and Folk Songs.
The Competition was judged by eminent musical personalities of Jammu including Harish Kaila,  Yash Sharma and Kuldeep Saproo.
In the Film Song Category, Kunal Dabgotra of 3rd Semester, Mechanical Engineering of IECS Polytechnic won the first prize while Umesh Kumar 1st Semester, Mechanical Engi-neering  of North Polytechnic and Vikrant Singh 1st Semester, Electrical Engineering of North Polytechnic secured second and third positions respectively.
In Non-Film patriot and Folk Songs Category, Rahul Mottan of 5th Semester, Civil Engineering of IECS Polytec-hnic won the first prize, while Pardeep Singh of NITS and Ialana of NITS won second and third prize respectively.
Er Renu Bangroo, Managing Director of Jamwal Group of Educational institutions and Er Vidhi S Singh spoke on the occasion., while Er Rajnish Magotra, Dean Academics presented vote of thanks.
