Historic polling, people rejected separatists: Soz

SRINAGAR, Nov 26: Former Union Minister and Pradesh Congress Committee president, Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz has said that Kashmir witnessed historic poll percentage during first phase of  the Assembly elections on Tuesday despite boycott call by the `separatists’.
While talking to  Excelsior today, PCC chief said that he was overwhelmed by the outcome of the first phase of the polling. He said Kashmir witnessed the brisk poll-percentage which indicated that there are no takers of the politics of `separatists’.
It is also amply clear that people  of Kashmir have faith in democracy and have rejected those who gave poll boycott call. The people also rejected and communal forces like RSS and the BJP and have given votes in large number against them in Kashmir and Ladakh.
Prof Soz claimed that Congress shall win all the four seats in Ladakh and is expected to grab most of the seats in North Kashmir. The party is expecting good results from Chenab valley region where senior party leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad is putting lot of his efforts, PCC leader maintained.
