JAMMU, Mar 4: In a programme here today, NGO ‘Healthy India Stronger India (HISI)’ started two more courses—Free Training in Vocal Music and in Dance.
Amrit Pal Singh, SP Jammu (North) was chief guest on the occasion and he launched the new courses at HISI training center in Raghunathpura.
On this occasion Music Department of the NGO presented melodious description of ‘Shiv Mahima’ and mesmerized the audiences with their sweet voice.
Earlier Hira Lal Abrol, Chairman-HISI presented a report of ongoing activities of the NGO that are being conducted by it.
He shared that HISI provides free skills training to needy children, irrespective of religion and caste.
Abrol stressed on the need of spreading awareness about cleanliness, respect for elders, healthy life styles, yoga and physical fitness and advised the children to stay away from drugs.
The NGO trains poor students in computers, cutting & tailoring and beautician course.
Suits and fruits were also distributed to the needy ladies during the programme.
