KATHUA, Apr 26: Eleven bovine animals which were being carried to Kashmir Valley were rescued while the truck carrying them was seized by Hiranagar Police during a routine checking at its Naka at Lodhi Morh on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway early this morning. However the smugglers including the driver and conductor of the truck managed to escape.
According to police at 4.45 am today one truck bearing registration number JK0AF 9327 which was on its way from Lakhanpur to Jammu after reaching at Lohdi Morh Naka near Kootah was asked by the cops on duty to stop. However the inmates of the truck including driver and conductor left the truck and fled away.
The police seized the truck and bovine animals and registered a case under section 188 RPC at PS Hiranagar. The police said that the bovines were being carried to Kashmir Valley.
