Himanta interacts with IAS officers, outlines vision for ‘viksit Assam’

GUWAHATI, Jun 6 : Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday interacted with over 100 IAS officers and outlined the vision for a ‘viksit (developed) Assam’.

Sarma also emphasised the need to foster a spirit of collaboration, coordination and shared purpose across departments.

“I called upon the officers to ensure that the phenomenal achievements Assam has recorded in recent years must now be sustained,” Sarma said in a post on X.

He urged them to strive towards making Assam a leading state in the country across all key sectors, developmental indicators and governance parameters.

“I also enthused them to contribute to Assam’s growth in such a manner that every initiative, every reform and every outcome must strengthen Assam’s role in India’s economic and developmental journey,” he added.

Sarma said that he encouraged the officers to speak their minds without fear.

He also urged them to continue to uphold the highest standards of probity, integrity, transparency and humility in public service.

The chief minister interacted with the officers for the first time after he assumed office for the second consecutive term in May. (PTI )
