Srinagar, Sept 15: A portion of National Highway in Baramulla this evening sunk after wind storm in the area leading to the closure of Baramulla-Uri road for traffic.
Residents said that around 40 feet of the highway along the bank of river Jhelum near Khanpora in Baramulla sunk this evening during a wind storm, disconnecting parts of the town and border town Uri from rest of Baramulla.
The road has sunk several feet leading to disruption of the traffic. Senior police and administrative officers reached to the spot to assess the situation.
