SRINAGAR : Highest number of 19 guests from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) arrived here, while only four Kashmiris crossed over to other side of the Line of Control (LoC).
Official sources said here today that eight returnees also crossed sides at Kaman post, the last Indian military post on this side of the LoC in Uri sector. They said 19 POK guests, including six women and five children, arrived at Kaman post after crossing the Aman Setu, peace bridge on foot. This was the highest number of PoK residents, who arrived here during 2014. Four Kashmiris, who had gone to POK, also returned to their homes after completing stay with their relatives, separated in 1947.
Sources said only four Kashmiris, including a woman, crossed to other side of the LoC to meet their relatives while four POK residents returned to their homes after completing stay here.
The bus service is operating to help families divided in 1947 to meet each other. (AGENCIES)
