High-tech motorcycles pressed into service by Traffic Police

JAMMU Sept 30: Traffic Police Jammu today pressed into service ten high-tech motorcycles fitted with wireless sets, loud speakers, sirens and flasher lights for targeting violators of traffic signals, two wheelers without crash helmet and other visible offenses near traffic signals.
The traffic high tech motor cycles were pressed into service by Shakeel Ahmed Beig, DIG Traffic Jammu, He was accompanied by SSP/DySP Traffic Jammu.
DIG said that motorcycles have been launched to keep strict vigil especially near traffic signals to deal with all the traffic violations with an iron hand. He further said that ten motor cycles have been deployed in the first phase near traffic signals of Janipura, High Court complex crossing, Bathandi Crossing, Vivekanand Chowk, Bikram Chowk, Canal head, Green Belt Crossing and Satwari Crossing to strictly deal with traffic signal violations. He further urged motor cyclists to wear crash helmets to avoid strict action against them.
