Bahu Fort Committee holds meet to review Navratra arrangements

JAMMU, Sept 30: A meeting of Bahu Fort Committee was held under the leadership of its president, Rajeev Charak, regarding Navratra arrangements.
Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Kuldeep Khajuria, was the chief guest while Director, Floriculture Garden and Parks, KK Sharma and Health Officer, Jammu, Dr Vinod Sharma were the guests of honours.
Deputy superintendent of Traffic Police, Gouri Shanker, AEE, PHE, IB Gupta, TO, PDD, SHO, Bagh-e-Bahu, Noor Ahmed and JE, PWD, RP Gandotra were also present on the occasion to deliberate upon the burning problems of Bahu Fort Shrine.
Addressing the meeting, Rajeev Charak discussed the problems faced by the pilgrims, which included sanitary problems, streetlights, disposal problem, parking, drinking water and shelters for pilgrims.
Charak urged the bureaucrats to have a view of all these issues and resolve them before the Navratras, to make the pilgrimage smooth.
While speaking, Khajuria assured the committee that street lights would be installed at every point, wherever needed, before the Navratras. He also assured to ensure proper electricity system, drinking water and sanitary facilities.
Deputy Superintendent of Traffic Police also assured to take all necessary steps to control the traffic and provide parking facility.
