Hideout busted in Hizb comdr’s village

Srinagar, Dec 26: Security forces today busted a militant hideout at Bhaderwan area adjacent to Hizbul Mujahideen commander Reyaz Naikoo’s house in Awantipora area of South Kashmir.
A joint operation was launched by Army’s 55 RR, 44 RR, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned off Bhaderwan village in Awantipora area of Pulwama district early this morning.

After conducting searches for several hours, security forces busted a militant hideout and recovered a gas cylinder weighing 5 kilogrammes, a blanket and some utensils and eatables.
The hideout was situated adjoining the village where the top militant commander Reyaz Naikoo is living.
Authorities snapped the internet services in Awantipora area to prevent any protests and trouble in the area.
Last week, six militants were shot dead by security forces in their hideout in Arampora area of Tral.
Pakistani troops yesterday violated ceasefire in Macchil sector along the Line of Control (LoC). Sources said that Pakistani troops fired at the Army post in Muthal area manned by 4 JAK Rifles.
Army retaliated by using small arms and it continued for several hours.  However, no loss of life or injury was reported from either side.
