BEIRUT, April 13: Ukraine’s claims of readiness to help Israel and regional countries in the fight against Iran and resistance movements are absurd, Kiev is incapable of helping itself, Mahmoud Komati, deputy head of Hezbollah’s political council, told Sputnik.
“Ukraine can’t even defend itself; it can’t defend its sovereignty. How can it participate in a confrontation with the resistance or Iran It’s absurd,” Komati said, commenting on Ukraine’s claims of wanting to support and train forces in the region, including the United States, to counter Iran and the forces supporting it.
Speaking about Hezbollah’s position on Ukraine’s actions and the possible presence of Ukrainians in the Israeli army, the politician stated that he had no information on whether there were Ukrainian specialists in the Israeli army.
According to Komati, Hezbollah considers Ukraine an ally of Israel, and Israel an ally of Ukraine.
“As we know, Ukraine is being used by Europe in its confrontation with Russia to curb Russian advancement, Russian power, and Russian policies in Europe and globally. Therefore, we support Russia in its confrontation with Ukraine,” Komati added.
