JAMMU, Apr 13: Eminent contemporary and internationally acclaimed sculptor Ganesh Kumar Sharma has been conferred with the prestigious “International Simon Bolivar Award” for Arts and Literature, recognising his outstanding contribution to art and promotion of world peace.
The award was presented by FIDEPISTA, International University of Fine Arts Virtual (U.F.I.V.I.B.A), International Federation of Writers, Poets and Artists for World Peace (FIDEPA) and the Academic Cluster of Supreme Intellectual, headquartered in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, under the theme “United for World Peace”.
With a career spanning over four decades, Sharma is known for his thought-provoking sculptures reflecting cultural harmony, unity and social consciousness. His works have been exhibited in prominent galleries in India and abroad, earning wide acclaim. He has also received numerous national and international honours for his contributions to contemporary art.
