Heritage Walk for KAS Probationers organised

JAMMU, Oct 30: Directorate of Tourism in collaboration with J&K IMPARD organised Heritage Walk at ancient Babore temples of Manwal as a part of two day adventure camp.
The walk commenced from Mansar lake which is a designated Ramsar convention wetlands to archeological site of Babore maintained by Archeological Survey of India. The tenth century temple complex which was capital of Jammu region prior to its shifting to Jammu by Raja Maldev was visited by the participants of JKAS 2016 batch.
Experts from ASI conducted a guided tour of the architectural wonder and distributed pamphlets among the officers.
The participants were acquainted with the rich cultural heritage of Jammu region and also learned about the potential of heritage tourism.
The event was conducted under the supervision of Dr Reva Sharma, Director ( Trgs.) J&K IMPARD and executed by Ambika Bali AD, Dr Rajesh Raina, Tourist Officer, Rakesh Koul and Amar Paul Singh, Senior Instructors of Adventure Wing.
