JAMMU : Following heavy rain, Power supply was snapped while roads got blocked due to the blackout in this winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dense black clouds this afternoon hovered followed by heavy rains. The power supply was snapped in view of thunderstorm and heavy rains while internet facilities also remained disrupted. Due to overflowing nullahs and poor drainage system, the roads got blocked in Canal Road, Jewel Chowk, Talab Tillo, Gandhi Nagar and Trikuta Nagar localities.
Long traffic jams were witnessed in the city due to gushing waters on the road. At various locations, water also entered the houses and shops.
People, however, also condemned the Jammu Municipal Corporation for poor sanitation and sewage system. The Jammu-Srinagar national highway is through for traffic.
