SRINAGAR : The Meteorological department has issued a fresh warning for heavy rain or snow the Jammu and Kashmir during the next 12 hours.
A Met department spokesman said here this afternoon that there could be moderate to rather heavy rain or snow at most places in the state during the next 24 hours. He warned of heavy rain or snow at a few places during the next 12 hours in the state.
However, there would be decrease in precipitation from tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the authorities have issued fresh avalanche warning in the higher reaches in the Valley, where a girl was killed and five injured during the past two days in avalanche and shooting stones.
People living in avalanche-prone areas are advised to remain indoor to avoid any accident. However, in case of emergency, people should take extra precautions. Due to heavy snowfall, people are also advised to clean snow on their roof tops to avoid any accidents. (AGENCIES)
