HDFC appoints Rahul as Head of Corporate & Business Banking

MUMBAI, Mar 22: HDFC Bank Ltd, has appointed  Rahul Shukla as the Head of Corporate and Business Banking.
Designated Group Head – Corporate and Business Banking, Shukla  joined HDFC Bank after a stint of over 25 years with Citibank where he rose to be Head of Corporate Bank – South Asia.
He will report to  Kaizad Bharucha, Executive Director, who heads the Wholesale Banking business, which contributed about 45 per cent to the bank’s loan portfolio on December 31, 2017.
Shukla began his career with Citibank in 1991 after completing his B Tech (EE) from IIT Varanasi and MBA from IIM Bengaluru. He served in various functions like Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, and Capital Markets in India, Singapore, and Hong Kong till June 2010, when he moved back to India. As Head of Corporate Bank – South Asia, he was responsible for management of large corporates, financial institutions, public sector undertakings and MNCs operating in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. He was also a member of Citibank’s Global Corporate Banking Operating Committee.
