JAMMU, Aug 25: High Court has upheld the detention under Public Safety Act of two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Jaish-e-Mohd.
While dismissing the petitions filed by Syed Mohammad Azhar Amin Shah and Rayees Ahmad Bhat, Justice Sanjay Dhar observed that the detaining authority has clearly recorded its satisfaction that the activities of the petitioner are highly prejudicial to the security of the state and it is on this ground only that the impugned order of detention has been passed.
“There is, thus, no doubt in the mind of the detaining authority as to the nature of the activities in which the petitioners are alleged to have been indulging”, the High Court said.
