JAMMU, Jan 9: Vacation Judge of High Court, Justice BL Bhat today suspended the sentence of Patwari Mohd Razaq, who was convicted by the Special Judge Anticorruption on December 31, 2013 in corruption case, and granted him the bail.
After hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi with Advocate Parimoksh Seth appearing for the petitioner whereas AAG Ravinder Sharma for the State, Justice Bhat suspended the sentence and granted bail to Mohd Razaq.
The High Court directed that Mohd Razaq be released on bail subject to furnishing personal bond and surety bond to the tune of Rs 25000 each. He will also file undertaking to appear before this court on each and every date and serve the sentence if his appeal is not allowed.
The Court further directed that he shall not be released unless he deposits the amount of fine imposed by the Trial Court with Registrar Judicial.
