SRINAGAR, June 10: High Court today reserved its orders on the plea seeking waiver of school fee from private and Government schools during the lockdown period.
Hearing Public Interest Litigation filed by an advocate Mudasir Nazir Shah, Division Bench of Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul reserved its orders on the plea.
Advocate Shah while appearing in person informed that the petition has been filed against the respondent-authorities to suspend and debar from collection of fees of any nature from the students of private and Government schools from the month of March till date due to lockdown on account of COVID-19 pandemic.
On the other hand Government counsel Mir Suhail raised objections against the petition and submitted before the Court that similar petition has been rejected by the Supreme Court recently as such the petition is not maintainable.
