JAMMU, Mar 12: In a petition filed by Karan Sharma, a law-graduate and physically handicapped, challenging notification regarding appointment of Munsiffs to the extent that required number of posts have not been reserved for physically handicapped, High Court today directed the Public Service Commission to reserve one post of Munsiff.
After hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma appearing for the petitioner, Justice Tashi Rabstan issued notice to Chief Secretary, Commissioner Secretary Law Department, Registrar General High Court, Commissioner Secretary and Director Social Welfare Department and Public Service Commission returnable within four weeks.
In the meanwhile, subject to objections from the other side, Court directed the Public Service Commission to reserve one post of Munsiff pursuant to the notification No. PSC/Exam/2013/111 dated December 24, 2013.
