JAMMU, May 7: High Court today directed Commissioner Secretary GAD to file compliance report for release of back-wages of XEn Rajesh Gupta, who was reinstated on the directions of Supreme Court or appear in person.
The direction was passed in a petition filed by Executive Engineer Rajesh Gupta, who had earlier been compulsorily retired and the Apex Court, while allowing his SLP, quashed compulsorily retirement order with the directions to the State to pay him 30% of back wages. However, there was compliance of the Apex Court orders prompting the XEn to file a fresh petition.
After hearing petitioner in person, Justice Tashi Rabstan directed Commissioner Secretary GAD to consider and pass order in the light of correspondence submitted by Commissioner Secretary RDD within a period of four weeks and file compliance by or before next date of hearing, failing which he shall appear in person on next date of hearing.
