JAMMU, July 26: Hari Prabhu Sanstha held its 12th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) in the Bharat Scouts and Guides office Gandhi Nagar here.
Ex-Director, Geological Survey of India, J K Vaid, was the chief guest, Ravi Chanyal Chief Engineer, System and Operation, PDD Jammu, was the guest of honour and Prem Gupta, IGP Retd and A K Arora, Patron Balgran, Chhani Rama and president of Association for Welfare of Senior Citizens were the special guests, while as I D Soni, Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guides and chief patron of the Sanstha, presided over the function.
Jagmohan Gupta, Sanstha president, welcomed the distinguished guests and members and gave brief introduction, mission and objectives of the Sanstha.
General secretary, S C Gupta read out the Annual Report. Subash Gupta, treasurer, presented annual accounts with details of Receipt and Expenditure for the year 2014-15, which were approved and passed with voice vote by the House.
On this Occasion, Sanstha felicitated three C A Passed students – Vasu Gupta, Jatin Malhotra and Mohit Mahajan and one Anshul Gupta for winning 1st prize in a National level Essay competition.
Sanstha also honoured Harinder Gupta, patron HPS and a leading Industrialist and Vinay Samotra, Secretary JDA besides the chief guest JK Vaid and guest of honour Ravi Chanyal, chief engineer PDD.
Others who spoke on the occasion included SK Jain president Vichar Kranti Manch International and renowned Yoga expert who advised the gathering about stress free and meaningful life.
Sanstha patron Harinder Gupta lauded the role of Hari Prabhu Sanstha endeavouring more zeal and spirit among the members in service of the needy ones.
J K Vaid, in his address, highly appreciated the services rendered by Sanstha towards the welfare of poor & down trodden people in the rural and remote area.
In the end I D Soni, expressed his happiness and satisfaction on the achievements made by Sanstha during past 12 years.
Anil Sharma vice president of the Sanstha conducted proceedings of the AGM and vote of thanks was presented by R C Thakur, Advisor, financial matters.
