REASI, July 26: A middle aged man committed suicide by shooting himself with his VDC weapon, a 303 rifle, at his residence in Pattian, which falls under the jurisdiction of Arnas police station, here today.
The deceased was identified as Romal Singh (55), son of Paras Ram of Pattian. He shot himself under mysterious circumstances. The family members rushed him to hospital, the doctors declared him as brought dead.
Cause behind the extreme step was not ascertained so far. Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
