JAMMU, July 17: A hardcore drug peddler was arrested under the PIT NDPS Act here at Gharota Area of the District today.
A police spokesperson said Gulshan Kumar of House Number 101, Janipur at present Kot Bhalwal, Jammu, was wanted in several cases of drugs smuggling in the general area of Gharota.
His order of detention was issued by the competent authority after a detailed report was submitted by the police, he said.
Today, the order of detention of the accused was executed by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma and accordingly he was arrested by a team of Police Station Gharota led by SHO Gharota Inspector Joginder Singh Chib, said the police spokesperson.
Accordingly, the accused been shifted to District Jail Amphalla after completion of legal formalities.
