Har Ghar Tiranga campaign celebrated

JAMMU, Aug 13: As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Har Ghar Tiranga campaign celebrated with patriotic fervor and zeal.
As a part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, Member Parlaiment Jugal Kishore Sharma along with Priya Sethi, Former Minister & National Executive Member BJP, Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP Vice President, Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu and Vinay Gupta, District President and others  participated in ‘Prabhat Pheri’ taken out in the Old City  area of Jammu city. The ‘Prabhat Pheri’ started from Mubarak Mandi area and passing through the streets of Old City successfully culminated at ancient Raghunath ji Temple Jammu. District President Vinay Gupta, Mahant Naraing Jee, Councillors Anil Masoom, Narotam Sharma and Sunita Koul  Anju Dogra,Savita Anand,Radha Sharma Mandal president Parveen Kerni also accompanied the ‘Prabhat Pheri’.
Kathua Campus, University of Jammu celebrated “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign in its Campus at Jangalote, wherein Prof Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu was the chief guest and Raghunandan Singh, DDC Vice Chairman, Kathua was the guest of honour. The celebration started with the Tiranga rally that was led Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu and all the students, teaching and non-teaching staff, NSS volunteers and prominent citizens of Kathua participated in the rally. The rally was followed by the flag hoisting ceremony in the campus by the Vice Chancellor, JU, and DDC Vice Chairman. Dr Meenakshi Kilam, Rector, Kathua Campus and Director DIQA, JU, Dr Saurabh Shastri, Head of Department of Computer Science, Dr Mahesh Koul, Faculty, the Management School, faculty members and students were also present.
With the target to cover every house of Jammu with the Tricolour, more than 3 lakh National Flags have been distributed in district Jammu so far as the district machinery gears up for the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to commemorate the 75th year of India’s Independence, under which the Tricolour will be flown at every private and commercial establishment as part of the 75th anniversary of the country’s Independence from 13th to 15th August 2022. Fifty thousand tricolours prepared locally under the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (Umeed) by 3500 self-help groups of the district have been distributed.
The campaign, running under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa, has seen major awareness initiatives across the district. Chief Education Officer Jammu has organized awareness activities involving all the schools of the district through essay competitions, National Anthem singing competitions and Rangoli competitions. Awareness Rallies by the children of the different schools can easily be seen across the district with the Tiranga. A mega rally was also organized by school children from Ragunath Mandir to Mubarak Mandi.
The Rural Development Department has conducted special Gram Sabhas to generate mass rural awareness about the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and has distributed Tiranga in rural areas through Block Development offices and public representatives. Activities on Amrit Sarovar have been launched in each block of the district.
A sizeable cycle rally was organized from the Bus stand to Kala Kendra Jammu and events at at Bahu Fort Jammu.
The Social Welfare department in coordination with the higher Education Department has organized awareness programmes in Old Age Homes, Homes for Destitute, Nari Niketan and Bal Ashrams.
Under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsov and to give boost to the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, DDC Chairman, Mohd Yousuf Gorsi, DDC Anantnag Dr Piyush Singla and SSP Ashish Mishra jointly hoisted and unfurled the National flag in DC office premises here. President MC Anantnag, Hilal Ahmad Shah, ACR, ACD, and other district officers were present also. It is pertinent to mention here that a Mega Tiranga of 75 feet high was hoisted on the occasion.
In continuation to Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahaotsav an impressive Tiranga Rally was held at Army Good Will School Hajin in District Bandipora. The Mega Tiranga Rally at Hajin was attended by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmed, SSP Bandipora Mohd Zahid, SDM Sumbal Dr Bashir Lone, Chairman MC Hajin, Padma Sharee Faisal Ali Dar and officers from sub divisional Administration Sumbal.
More than 8000 students, youth volunteers besides general public actively participated in the Grand Tiranga Rally.
As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Department of School Education Poonch organized a Tiranga bike rally to install Tiranga on every house on Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district. DDC Chairperson Tazeem Akhter, Inder Jeet Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Bishamber Dass, CEO Poonch and NM Suri DEPO Poonch flagged off the Tiranga Rally from DySP Manjeet Singh Memorial Boys Higher secondary School Poonch, which culminated at High School Degwar Maldyalan which is situated on extreme LoC. Bishamber Dass, CEO Poonch along with NM Suri, DEPO and various Principals and ZEOs hoisted tricolor on various houses along the LoC.
