Haal to come up as icon of communal harmony, collective heritage: Mattoo

PULWAMA, June 18: Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, Advisor to Chief Minister, today visited Migrant Pandit Colony at Haal in district Pulwama and held interaction with the households of the colony.
Prof. Mattoo was made aware of various issues including maintenance of residential quarters, sanitation, dearth of ration, shortage of drinking water and other security related issues.
While taking note, he assured earliest fulfilling of their genuine demands and directed the District Administration to do the needful. He further stressed upon the importance of cordial relationship among the members of both the communities and asserted the need for building Haal as icon of communal harmony and collective heritage.
Prof Mattoo also took a stroll around various old houses of Kashmiri Pandits. He extolled the present Government’s decision to develop Haal as Model Ethnographic Village to resuscitate the years old culture and tradition of Kashmir.
The Advisor was accompanied by DC Pulwama, Muneer ul Islam,  Managing Director JKPCC, Dalip Thussu, ADC Pulwama, SSP Pulwama besides other District and Sectoral Officers.
