SRINAGAR: Governor N N Vohra was today briefed about the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh region of the State.
“The Governor, who visited headquarters of 14 Corps, Leh, received an extensive briefing from Lt Gen S K Patiyal, Corps Commander, regarding the situation along the entire LoC and LAC which fall within the area of responsibility of 14 Corps in the Northern Army Command,” an official spokesman said.
He said Vohra also held a detailed discussion with Lt Gen Patiyal regarding issues relating to speedy growth and development of the hinterland areas, particularly problems of connectivity and the growing difficulties faced by the grazers due to shrinking of pasture lands.
The Governor and the GoC also discussed the road network which is required to connect various parts of Ladakh internally with the plains, the spokesman said. (AGENCIES)
