Guru Ravidas Mahapeeth reviews arrangements for President’s session

JAMMU, Jan 30: Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Vishwa Mahapeeth’s national officials from five states including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh met today in Chandigarh to review arrangements for 4th National session of Sri Guru Ravidas Vishwa Mahapeeth on February 21 in which President of India Ramnath Kovind will chief guest.
This was revealed by J&K president of Mahapeeth, Jeet Angral and general secretaries Krishan Kumar Digra and Yashpal Shivotra Ji. They said the meeting was presided over by Suresh Rathore, National president of the Mahapeeth and MLA from Jawalapur.
Representatives of Ravidassi Jatav society, sages, saints and dera chiefs will participate in the function. The session will also be attended by Parshottam Lal Ji Maharaj from Dehra Chak (Hakim Phagwaday) and former Union Minister and International vice president of Mahapeeth Vijay Sampla.
Surajbhan Kataria, Organization general secretary of the Mahapeeth and member in the Union Ministry of Social Justice, said that the fourth National Session of the Mahapeeth will be held on Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi. He said this will be first time that President of India will be the chief guest of their session. He informed that Satyadev Narayan Arya, the Governor of Haryana will also attend the session.
Dr Rajiv Sahajal, National vice president of the World Mahapeeth and Cabinet Minister in the Government of Himachal Pradesh, Dr Sikander Kumar (general secretary of the World Mahapeeth and Vice Chancellor of Shimla University), National general secretary of Mahapeeth and former Chairman of Scheduled Castes Commission Rajesh Bagha and National spokespersons– Kuldeep Mehra, Sarbjit Singh Kadiana and Jaswant Pathanis were present in the meeting.
Among the presidents, J&K president Jeet Angral, Himachal chairman Balbir Bagga, Punjab president Manjit Bali, Haryana president Hitendra Chaudhary and Chandigarh president Jasvir Singh Mehta were present.
