Guru Ravi Dass Sabha pays tribute to late leaders

JAMMU, July 28: All J&K Guru Ravi Dass Sabha today organized a function to pay tribute to late Shri Jaggu Ram, ex-president, Dehata Sabha and late Tej Ram, ex-president, Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, Kabir Colony, Jammu.
The function was organized under the leadership of president of the Sabha, Vijay Lochan, in the premises of Gurudwara, Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj at Krishna Nagar here.
Addressing the gathering, Lochan threw light on the contribution of the late Jaggu Ram for the cause of the down troddens particularly Ravi Dass Biradri.
“He was a close associate of late Babu Milkhi Ram and associated with struggle of Harijan Mandal. He settled many disputes and helped in eradication of social evils”, Lochan said.
He also highlighted the contributions of late Tej Ram Bangotra, who was also the founder of Ravi Sena.
He was an architect of preparing jhankies and organizing shobha yatras and struggled for construction of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Community Hall at Kabir Colony, Lochan added.
Former Deputy Mayor and ex-Corporator, Dharam Vir Jamwal, Additional Director General (retd), Geological Survey of India, Sewa Dass Digra besides office bearers of Ravi Dass Sabha, Dehat and Krishna Nagar paid rich tributes to the late leaders.
The families and relatives of late Jaggu Ram and late Tej Ram Bangotra were also present and paid tributes to them.
